A bookseller with 25 years experience I have also been a teacher. I am interested in books, bookselling, libraries and education. With my husband Rob I sell books via my website CL Hawley and am a member of the PBFA exhibiting at many of their book fairs. I enjoy Victorian novels, crime fiction and children’s books as well as more modern literary fiction.
My favourite authors include George Eliot, Elizabeth Gaskell, Jane Austen and the Brontes, Graham Greene, Georgette Heyer, Kate Atkinson, Lissa Evans and Philip Hensher. Favourite crime novelists include the major Golden Age writers including Josephine Tey and E. R. C. Lorac. More modern crime writers that I enjoy include Vaseem Khan, Alis Hawkins, Imogen Robertson, Jacqueline Winspear and Martin Edwards.
